September 2018 Monthly Goals

Monthly goals have become an important part of my life. I think it’s great to set aside the time to know what I want to achieve this month. Last month was very hectic, I started a new job, started school again and bought a car. However, this month I decided to keep things short and simple.

We are almost two weeks into September and I have started my last semester as a Junior in college. With school starting it is more important to me now than ever to get my monthly goals together. Here’s everything else I am hoping to achieve this month.

1 | Create a routine for writing.

After my internship, the weeks following I would sit and write twice a day. Now that I have a part-time job to keep me busy for most of the day, I must rework my schedule. My goal is to aim for an hour a day of just writing.

2 | Find a schedule that works.

Working a schedule out to accommodate everything that I need to get done during the day will be one of my main priorities this month. I want to make sure that I have time to accomplish all my daily tasks and still have time to nap.

It’s time to schedule a nap time into my schedule!

3 | Say no.

I tend to overbook myself when it comes to helping others. I’m always the first to say yes or to volunteer for something. One of my monthly goals for September is to say no a little more than I say yes. I need to figure out my schedule first before I can take on anything else.

4 | Go for walks.

Going on walks is the perfect way for me to de-stress. It’s much needed back in my life. I’m excited realizing I have enough time now to work things around a tentative schedule and see where my walks fit into my life.

Monthly goals are the perfect way to prioritize.

This way you know what you want to tackle this month. You get a feeling for what the most important tasks to prioritize are. And, you work hard to reach your goal.
